What is a URL Page Counter?

D2i Technology's Free URL Page Counter & Sitemap Generator crawls any public website starting from its homepage, follows internal links, and reports back the total number of discoverable pages. Once the crawl finishes, you can download a ready-to-use XML sitemap or a CSV list of every URL found — useful for SEO audits, site migrations, estimating project scope, or simply understanding how large a website really is.

How to Use

  1. Enter the full URL of the website you want to crawl (e.g., https://www.example.com)
  2. Click the button to start the crawl
  3. Wait while the crawler discovers pages by following internal links
  4. Review the total page count once the crawl completes
  5. Click "View URL Templates" to see the discovered pages grouped by section
  6. Download the XML sitemap, CSV export, or just the URLs from a specific template group

URL Templates — See Your Site's Structure at a Glance

Once a crawl finishes, click "View URL Templates" to switch from a single flat list to pages grouped by URL pattern — every /blog/* post together, every /products/* page together, and so on. Each group is shown as a card with a representative sample URL and how many pages share that pattern, so you can see how many distinct page types a site is built from without opening a single one.

Grouped by Section

Pages are grouped by their first URL segment, so listing pages and their detail pages (e.g., /blogs and /blog/post-name) are combined into one template automatically.

Date Archives Merged

Year and month archive pages (e.g., /2024, /2025) are combined into a single "Archive" template instead of cluttering the list with one card per year.

Sub-Sections Split Out

Larger sections with multiple distinct sub-areas (e.g., /products/aceex, /products/acecx) are automatically split into their own template cards.

Repeating Patterns Detected

Data-driven patterns that repeat for every entry (e.g., a page per country, each with the same sub-pages) are kept as one template rather than one card per entry.

Drill Into Any Template

Click a template card to see every page inside that group, with its own pagination — useful when a section has hundreds of pages.

Download Per Template

Download just the URLs for one template group instead of the entire site — handy for scoping a redesign, migration, or content audit section by section.
